A phrase usually associated with football, but at the minute it means miles, miles & more miles. Today was one of those days when you have to dig deep & look at the bigger picture. I opened the curtains this morning & the sun was shining, great I thought, within 20 minutes there were grey clouds & a rain shower & I hadn't even finished my bran flakes! I Laid the kit out on the bed & stared out of the window wondering what the weather was doing as it changed every 10 minutes. Finally around 11.00 o'clock I decided that I had to go out as I wont have the option to stay in when riding the L2P event.
A new route today from home thru' Dawley, Madeley, Bridgnorth, Broseley, Ironbridge, Buildwas, Atcham & to home, a hilly 67.5 km [40.3 miles]. Strong blustery head winds & a heavy rain shower made the outward trip to Bridgnorth difficult, but enjoyed the inbound miles. I made the right decision to go out in the end.
