Day 2 - Dieppe to Lisieux - The first Puncture

Well they did warn us, although I wasn't the first, I suffered a rear puncture 18 miles into todays ride & not just a puncture but a split tyre [£25 down the pan]. Luckily the roaming mechanic "Marko" was on hand to supply a spare tyre & get me on my way. Mike & I had lost a chunk of time & were now last on the road so we had time to make up but we needn't have worried as their were several other groups suffering punctures along the road. Just when we had got into our rhythm Mike then had a flat, we had this one under control & were soon on our way again. By this time the rain had returned & the days first water stop at "Imbieville" [pictured] gave us respite & cheery faces telling tales of "how many punctures" - the massive bag of Jelly Babies was instant fuel.
Hats off to Marko - who fixed 25+ punctures in the opening 20 miles of todays ride & that doesn't include the ones fixed by riders - we were warned!
