"Bonjour" - With only 10 days to go until the start of the L2P event - today would be the last BIG training ride -70 miles from Telford to Nantwich & back. The late plan was - I would ride up to Mike's - we would both ride back to Telford - Mike then making the return journey to Nantwich - simples...Had a great ride up up to Nantwich I didnt realise how much the wind was assisting me as I arrive at Mike's in 1 hour 54 minutes feeling really good. After a swift cup of tea at Mike & Clare's we were on the return run to Telford - Despite the lovely weather the head wind was viscous at times & it really hit us at Markey Drayton slowing us down considerably - but once back into the lanes around Hodnet we meandered along chatting of one thing & another - of what to expect during the L2P. The head wind adding a full 36 minutes to the return journey [2 hours 30 minutes].
I mentioned at the top - this was my last big training ride & everything from here on in will be fine tuning just keeping the legs spinning.
